Seed and budwood from the Auscitrus blocks at Dareton NSW can be sent anywhere in NSW, VIC or Qld without certification.

Movement of budwood into SA or Tas requires a health certificate, while movement of budwood into WA requires treatment with insecticide plus a certificate.  Auscitrus is accredited by NSW DPI to generate these health certificates in-house, so there is no additional charge to our customers.   Individual state departments may charge the importer directly however, you will need to check with the relevant state authorities.

Overseas movement of citrus material is dependant on the destination country, and the importer will need to determine the appropriate requirements for their country.  Auscitrus can then arrange appropriate treatments and/or inspections, at the expense of the importer.

When an order is placed you need to specify required delivery times.  For budwood supply this is usually the beginning of the week that you will require the budwood.  The budwood will be dispatched via Express Post in that week, to ensure you receive it before the end of the week.  Delivery by couriers or pickup are altenatives, but must be by arrangement.

The budwood is sealed in plastic bags and packaged in foam boxes with a container of ice.  This is then packed into a cardboard box for protection.  Delivery in this fashion via Express Post has been proven successful over a number years.

Seed orders are placed in the same fashion as budwood, except the delivery time is specified either at completion of extraction, or at the end of the seed season.  The former is useful for customers who require their seed for early sowing in heated greenhouses or warm areas of Australia.  The latter method is the most common, where Auscitrus will hold all the varieties in cool storage until all varieties have been harvested and dispatch it all at once.

Auscitrus has commercial agreements with most of the citrus variety managers in Australia.   We produce and distribute budwood according to the guidelines set down by the variety managers.  If you are looking for a particular private variety, you should in the first case contact the variety manager to determine if you can gain access to it.  Auscitrus can direct you to the appropriate oganisation if required, although due to confidentiality clauses in our agreements we may not be able to divulge any information until the variety manager gives approval.

Auscitrus has budwood plantings of all of the public commercial citrus varieties, some of the more popular non-commercial varieties, and all of the major rootstocks.  The best way to find out what varieties are available is to download the order forms, as these are updated regularly with the Auscitrus varieties.

You will need to place an order on an official Auscitrus order form, available from the Auscitrus office or online.  No orders can be accepted without receipt of a signed order form.

Orders for budwood are placed in July for Spring/Summer supply, and in December for late Summer/Autumn supply.  Seed orders are placed in April for supply in Autumn/Winter.

New accounts will be required to pay for their first order in advance, after which time an account may be set up for payment of future orders.
